The victim agriculture coordinator is Neeraj Kumar, originally a resident of Station Road under Fatuha police station area of Patna district, who is currently working as agriculture coordinator of East and West Gundi Panchayat of Barhara block.

According to the FIR lodged, Neeraj Kumar had gone to Galchaur village of West Gundi Panchayat at around 9 am on April 24 to click photographs for verification of crop assistance scheme. Meanwhile, Raju Kumar Ram of Galchaur village and three other members of his family including his son Rahul Kumar started asking him that you have not added our name in organic farming. We will kill you. Threatening them, they thrashed them fiercely with sticks and kicks. Neeraj Kumar says that during the fight, those people snatched the government ID card hanging around his neck and the gold chain worn around his neck. Also snatched some cash and important government documents from the purse.
