With the arrival of the weather in Bihar, people of some parts of the district have felt relief from the heat. Heavy rainfall was recorded in many districts of the state including Kishanganj during the last 24 hours. The weather started to look clear on Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka of the north-east part and Jamui, Munger, Khagaria, Darbhanga, Madhubani districts of the south-east part. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in some parts of Araria Kishanganj district, stating the possibility of rain with thunderstorms during 3 to 4 hours on Wednesday. Whereas an orange alert has been issued for severe heat wave in Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad and Arwal of the south-west part. Whereas the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding hot day in Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad of the south central part.

The areas of the state where temperature was recorded below 40 degree Celsius during the last 24 hours are: Patna 42.3, Gaya 43.4, Chhapra 43.4, Dehri 44.2, Sheikhpura 44.2, Gopalganj 40.5, Jamui 41.2, Buxar 44.2, Bhojpur 44.1, Vaishali 42.4, Aurangabad 44.3, Nawada 42.5, Rajgir 42.8, Jiradei 43.5, Arwal 44.2, Bikramganj 43.1, Banka 40.6. Along with this, the maximum temperatures were recorded at 37.4 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur, 29.7 in Purnia, 38.0 in Balmiki Nagar, 36.8 in Muzaffarpur, 32.6 in Supaul, Forbesganj 29.2, Madhubani 37.6, Motihari 37.0, Begusarai 37.3, Khagaria 39.6, Katihar 31.3, Araria 28.5 in Pusa, 36.4, Kishanganj 26.0 and Munger 39.0 degrees Celsius.
It rained in Araria and Supaul
During the last 24 hours, very heavy rainfall was recorded at one or two places in Kishanganj district of the state and light to moderate rainfall was recorded in Araria and Supaul. The weather of the remaining districts of Bihar remained dry. The details of rainfall are as follows. Kishanganj’s Thakurganj received 256.2 mm, Pothia 223.6, Dighalbain 120.2 mm, Galgalia 90.02 mm. Severe heat wave was recorded in Gopalganj, Gaya, Chhapra, Dehri, Sheikhpura, Buxar, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Arwal, Vikramganj, Siwan and Vaishali while heat wave was recorded in Patna, Munger and Jamui. The highest maximum temperature of the state was 46.9 degree Celsius in Aurangabad and the lowest minimum temperature was 22.5 degree Celsius in Kishanganj. According to today’s weather analysis, conditions are being created to advance the northern boundary of monsoon to some parts of Bihar during the next three to four days. Severe heat wave is forecast over south-western parts of the state during next 48 hours, heat wave over south-central parts of the state during next 24 hours and then hot and humid day on the next day.
