On Tuesday, in broad daylight, criminals entered a house in Ilahibagh, Patna and shot a woman dead. After the incident, all the criminals easily escaped on motorcycles brandishing weapons. After the news of the incident, there was a stir in the entire area. The people around informed Gopalpur police station about it. On receiving the information, Gopalpur police station along with Patna Sadar Police Sub-Divisional Officer reached the spot and started investigating the case. Police has started solving the case with the help of FSL team and dog squad. Police has recovered two bullet shells from the spot. The case is also being seen as a property dispute.

People living nearby said that Manorama Devi (60 years) lived alone in her flat in Ilahi Bagh of Gopalpur police station in Patna. Tenants used to live in five flats. It is being told that Manorama Devi’s son Sanjay Kumar (35 years) did not live with his mother. He lived in his old property in Phulwari Sharif.

People living nearby said that Manorama Devi’s husband Nannu Rai was also murdered about four years ago. Experts say that Sanjay Kumar had thrown his mother and father out of the house. Due to which the mother used to live separately in Ilahi Bagh. It is also being discussed that the mother wanted to write her property in the name of her daughter, due to which there used to be a dispute between mother and son. The police is investigating all these aspects in depth. However, an attempt was made to talk to Manorama Devi’s son Sanjay in this matter but he was not present. The police has also started scanning the CCTV cameras around the crime scene.
