In Madhepura on Tuesday night, miscreants shot and injured a young man. The injured youth was referred to a higher center from Sadar Hospital. The incident took place in Ratanpura Itahari village of Ghailadh OP area. After the incident, with the help of local people, the youth was admitted to Madhepura Sadar Hospital. The bullet hit the young man in his thigh. The injured youth was identified as Sonu Kumar (17), son of Pankaj Das, a resident of Ratanpura Itahari Ward.

The miscreant opened fire on Sonu

The youth’s mother Ranjan Devi told that Sonu works with Laltu Das of Ithari in Ghailadh to install shuttering in the house. After working on Tuesday evening, he was returning home in a pickup with Laltu Das. On the way, at some distance from the house, miscreants riding a bike signaled the pickup to stop. As soon as the pickup stopped, a miscreant opened fire on Sonu. The bullet hit the youth in the thigh below the waist.

Madhepura police team engaged in investigation

The local people hurriedly took him to Madhepura Sadar Hospital. Where after first aid he was referred to a higher centre. ASP Pravendra Bharti said that information about the incident has been received. Police is investigating the matter. Here, the family members of the youth say that the police should take the matter seriously and arrest the accused as soon as possible.
