Bill Gates and Paul Allen: Today it is difficult to work without computers and laptops. As important as the computer has contributed in changing the world, equally important is the contribution of the software inside it. If these software were not there then the world would have been different today. Today we are talking about software because the software maker Microsoft was started on this day in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen together. Both used to study in the same school since childhood and then spent many years together and set up this company. Today Microsoft makes many types of software and people all over the world run the company’s software. Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 is used by many crores of people today. Let us tell you, Microsoft has played an important role in increasing the popularity of computers.
Slowly Microsoft changed the world with time like this
After completing his schooling, Paul Allen went to Washington State University for further studies and Bill Gates started studying at Howard. After studying for about 2 years, Alan felt that he was wasting time in studies and then he started learning computer programming language and got involved in it. It was from here that both of them together started the computer programming business. Both worked together day and night and established Microsoft company to showcase their first commercial project. Initially there were only two people in this company, but as the company started getting new projects, the team kept increasing. 1980 proved to be a milestone for Microsoft as IBM entered the field of personal computers and asked Microsoft to create an operating system. Earlier, Microsoft had made many software, but this deal brought Microsoft somewhere else. After this, in 1987, Microsoft took out shares and then gradually the company went on earning money and Bill Gates became rich. Let me tell you, in 1983, Allen left Microsoft. Actually, he had to leave the company due to illness.
As the use of personal computers increased over time, then Microsoft launched different software systems and in 1995, the company also launched a browser named Internet Explorer, which opened a new dimension to the Internet world. Initially, when the company launched Internet Explorer, then money had to be paid for it, but later its free version started coming. This web browser became so popular in a few years that in 2003, 95 percent of it was used. But as time changed, new web browsers also came in the market and they overtook Internet Explorer. In 2022 Microsoft shut down Internet Explorer.
