In an interview given to Human of Bombay, Aamir Khan had told some things about his father Tahir Hussain. Aamir had told that some of Tahir Hussain’s films did not do well and he was very upset with those things.

According to reports, Aamir Khan had said, ‘There was one thing due to which I saw Abba Jaan upset. Perhaps he had no idea about the loan and he took it. He had a problem, he was upset and I have even seen him crying.’

Aamir further said, ‘Often we used to see him talking on the phone to people from whom he had taken money and the talks were only about the transaction, after which he used to get upset. On the phone, Abba used to say, what should I do, I don’t have money. My film is stuck, my actors are not giving me dates, I am very upset. This problem of Abba used to bother all of us.’ It is clear from these things that he had become indebted because of his films which did not do well. However, everything got fine later.

Aamir Khan’s father made films like Hamara Khandaan, Dulha Bikta Hai, Judge, Janam Janam Naka Saath, Zakhmi, Madhosh. He directed the first and last film for Aamir Khan, named Tum Mere Ho and it was released in 1990.
