Bishnoi community on Salman Khan: The Bishnoi community on Friday burnt the effigies of Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father and film director Salim Khan. He expressed displeasure over senior Khan’s statement in which he had said that his son was ‘innocent’ in the blackbuck poaching case. Although actor Salman Khan has been acquitted in this case, but the Bishnoi community wants him to apologize for hunting the black buck.
Recently Salim Khan said in an interview that his son has not hunted black buck. Many people from the community took part in the protest organized in Jodhpur. They gathered at various places on the occasion of Bishnoi Religion Foundation Day.

People of Bishnoi community told that if Salman Khan did not hunt black buck then why were lawyers called from Delhi, Mumbai and Jodhpur to fight his case. He demonstrated against Salman Khan and warned that if Salman Khan did not apologize, there would be an agitation on behalf of Sanatan Hindu Samaj.
Bishnoi community said that Salman Khan’s father has claimed that his son did not hunt black buck. We want to tell them that “We are Bishnois, we do not defame anyone just like that.” When the case was registered 26 years ago, many dignitaries including the then MLA of Bishnoi community were present. Salim Khan cannot mislead people by making false statements.
He said, “The entire society has been hurt by Salim Khan’s statement. We will make every possible effort to get justice in the black buck case. We will also protest on the streets.” The people of the society also said that Lawrence Bishnoi belongs to their society and follows all the 29 rules decided by the society. Salman had recently received threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, after which his security was increased.
Mumbai Police said Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi was in touch with the shooters who killed NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui outside his son’s office on October 12.
