There is a tussle between BJP and JDU regarding leadership in NDA in Bihar. Amidst the confusion in the alliance, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav invited Nitish to return to the grand alliance. Chief Minister Nitish Kumarâs smile on Laluâs proposal has increased the political heat in the state.

However, Laluâs invitation to Nitish was rejected outright by his son Tejashwi Yadav. The reason for all this development is the comment of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in which he had said that the NDA constituents will sit together and decide the face for the post of Chief Minister.
In fact, the main reason for the ongoing turmoil in the NDA is regarding the role and leadership of the elder brother in the assembly elections to be held later this year. JDU wants that BJP should not only give JDU the role of elder brother in the state like before, but also make the position completely clear regarding leadership. A senior party leader said that the Home Ministerâs statement has created confusion. Nitish is naturally the face of the alliance in the state. Everyone should accept this.
Tejashwi is waiting for Nitish to be isolated
Nitish also has his own reasons for completely rejecting Laluâs proposal and that of his son Tejashwi. Actually, Tejashwi wants Nitish to be isolated in the internal fight of NDA. If Nitish becomes weak and does not join the Grand Alliance, then the leadership of the Grand Alliance will again be in his hands. This is why, contrary to his fatherâs statement, he said that there is no place for Nitish in the Grand Alliance.
We are in NDA, will remain in NDA â LalanâŚ
JDU MP and Union Minister Lalan Singh said that we are in NDA and will remain in NDA. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that Laluâs dreams will remain and will not be fulfilled.
The fear of Maharashtra formula is haunting
JDU leaders believe that if the face is not decided now, then BJP can adopt Maharashtraâs formula in Bihar also. In Maharashtra, BJP first made Shiv Senaâs Eknath Shinde the CM but after the elections, it sidelined him and made Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister. Therefore JDU wants BJP to publicly declare Nitishâs name as its face.
Seat distribution is also a big question
This time the number of constituent parties in NDA is more. In the last elections, BJP had an agreement with JDU, HAM and VIP. This time there is also a party of Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan as a new component. VIP can also come along. In the last elections, JDU had contested on 115 seats, BJP on 110 seats, while the constituent parties had got 18 seats. JDU wants maximum seats in this election also to give the message of being the elder brother of the alliance, while BJP, encouraged by better performance in Haryana and Maharashtra, wants to achieve the role of elder brother.
