On Saturday night in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, the son of a BJP leader died on the spot after being hit by a canter. On getting information about the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. People created a ruckus accusing the police of negligence. SP Rural and CO Jasrana pacified the people by explaining them.

Ranu, the 30-year-old son of Ratanpal Singh Chauhan, a resident of Mohalla Gadiwan of Thana Jasrana, is a deaf and mute person. He was going to the vegetable market for some work at 9:45 pm on Saturday night. Then a canter coming from Shikohabad ran over him. Ranu died on the spot after being run over by the canter.
On getting information about the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. On receiving the information, police force from Jasrana police station reached the spot along with SP Rural Kumar Ranvijay Singh, CO Jasrana Anivesh Kumar Singh, police station in-charge Anjesh Kumar Singh. During this time, people expressed their protest.
People said that if the police wanted, the vehicle could have been caught. Area officer Anivesh Kumar Singh said that a young man has died due to the collision with the canter. People have been pacified by explaining them. After taking necessary action, the body has been sent for post-mortem.
