BJP has released its new list of 72 Lok Sabha candidates. In this, party general secretary Harsh Malhotra has been given ticket from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat. He will contest against Aam Aadmi Party’s Kuldeep Kumar. After the resignation of Gautam Gambhir, there were many big contenders from BJP for this seat. Party’s Delhi state president Virendra Sachdeva was also included in this. But the party has gone out of the way and expressed confidence in Harsh Malhotra, who has been involved in the party organization for a long time.

Similarly, Yogendra Chandolia has been made the candidate from the reserved seat North West of Delhi. They will challenge the possible Congress candidate. Congress can field its Dalit face Udit Raj on this seat. Udit Raj has reached Parliament from this seat on BJP ticket. In such a situation, his claim on this seat is also going to be strong.

This time BJP has expressed maximum confidence in the party cadre. The workers who have worked with loyalty in the party have been given tickets. Imported candidates were being fielded from East Delhi twice. Mahesh Giri was being fielded in 2014 and cricketer Gautam Gambhir in 2019, but this time the party has given an opportunity to its old loyal worker in the form of Harsh Malhotra.

Similarly, on the North Western seat also, BJP had given opportunity to Udit Raj in 2014 and singer Hansraj Hans in 2019. But both these faces were outsiders, whereas Yogendra Chandolia, who was fielded this time, has been a long-time loyal worker of the party. There is an atmosphere of joy among the workers due to the prominence being given to the party workers.
