Lok Sabha Elections Congress has suffered a major setback in Delhi. Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely resigned from his post on Sunday (28 April 2024). BJP has targeted Congress and Aam Aadmi Party on Lovely’s resignation. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said, Congress leaders are showing the mirror to its hypocrisy.
Shahzad Poonawala said while talking to news agency ANI, Congress party does not have any mission or vision. The party is just immersed in confusion, division and contradiction. He said, Congress in Delhi gave tickets to people who have nothing to do with Delhi. Congress party workers were also protesting against this on the streets of Delhi. Poonawala also mentioned about giving ticket to Kanhaiya Kumar from Delhi. He said, Kanhaiya Kumar abused the armed forces. Naxalites were called martyrs. Despite this he was given the ticket.
‘AAP-Congress came together for political reasons’
Poonawala said, you had said that you will completely eliminate the existence of Congress in Delhi. You had said that you will put Sheila Dikshit and Sonia Gandhi in jail. On the other hand, Congress had complained about how Aam Aadmi Party is involved in the liquor scam. But Congress and AAP came together only for political reasons. But this does not mean that voters will come together. Today Congress is unable to retain its leaders because its own leaders are showing the mirror to Congress for its hypocrisy.
Why did Arvinder Lovely leave the party?
Arvinder Lovely announced his resignation by sending a four-page letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. In this letter he has mentioned many reasons. There is also mention of alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. Lovely claims that Congress workers were also against the alliance with AAP. Not only this, Arvinder Lovely has also mentioned Kanhaiya Kumar in his letter.
