Board Exam Twice a Year: The Ministry of Education has agreed to conduct the 10th and 12th board examinations twice a year. The board exams will be conducted in February and April and students will be considered on the basis of the best performance score out of the two. Apart from this, a decision has also been taken regarding admission twice a year in higher education institutions.
The exam will be conducted on this pattern
The board examinations of class 10th and 12th will be conducted twice a year from the 2025-2026 session. Students will be given the option to appear in both the exams and their best performance will be considered as the final score. Two formulas have been prepared to conduct the board examinations twice. The first formula is on the lines of JEE, in which students can appear for the exam twice. The second formula is to conduct the examination in semesters i.e. every six months. But for now, there is a consensus on conducting the exam on the lines of JEE.
Students will get the option of better performance
The Ministry of Education has taken a new initiative regarding board examinations. Under this initiative, students will now be able to give board exams twice a year. This initiative will reduce the stress of students and they will have another chance to perform better. Also, if a student does poorly in the first attempt, he can give the exam a second time.
Admissions twice a year
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has said that admission in higher educational institutions will be given twice a year. Admission in both the sessions will be based on CUET. No separate exam will be required for admission in the second session.
