A new guideline for boat operation is being prepared for the safety of tourists coming to Varanasi from all over the country and the world to get a glimpse of the beautiful view of Ganga. Like road vehicles, there will soon be a system for registration of boats. Fitness will be checked.

A two-lane route will also be built to prevent irregular movement of boats in the Ganga. This system will be implemented from April. The number of Municipal Corporation and Water Police posts will also be increased to monitor boat operations between Rajghat and Assi Ghat.

It will be approved by holding an open meeting with the sailors so that possible changes can be made in it through their suggestions. It can also be implemented after implementation. In view of the increasing number of boats and crowd in Ganga, the Municipal Corporation is making new guidelines. In this, boats will be registered with QR code on the lines of all RTOs.

In this, different series numbers will be allotted according to the capacity of the boat. Markers with QR codes containing radium will be placed on the boats. The markers will be of large size in three colors so that they can be seen from a distance. The fitness of the boats will be checked every three months. Traffic lanes will also be built in Ganga.
