The body of a young man was found on the railway track in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. On receiving the news, the family members reached the spot crying. The police arrived on the information and inquired about the incident. The family members blocked the Agra-Gwalior highway late in the evening, alleging murder. ACP Sukanya Sharma arrived on the information and pacified them by explaining.

The incident took place in Jakhoda village on the Agra-Jhansi railway track in Malpura police station area. As soon as the body of the young man was found here on Saturday morning, sensation spread in the area. The body of the young man was identified as 40-year-old Devendra Singh, a tempo driver. The deceased’s wife Renu Devi is inconsolable and has expressed suspicion of her husband’s murder.

When Devendra did not reach home late at night, his wife informed her brother-in-law Manish. Manish along with other people started looking for Devendra and the police was also informed. Manish told that there was a fight between the two while eating at the Dhaba. The hotel owner brother has left the tempo of the deceased Devendra at the police station.

Manish alleges that my elder brother Devendra was murdered and his body was thrown on the railway line. He has filed a complaint with Malpura police and demanded action. Police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Saini has said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. Further action will be taken only after the post-mortem report.

The family members and villagers, angry with the incident, blocked the Agra-Gwalior highway late in the evening. Police reached the spot on receiving information. ACP Sukanya Sharma talked to the people. She calmed them down by explaining. After this, the jam was cleared and traffic was restored.
