Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University Teachers Association has announced boycott of conducting odd semester examinations of graduation on OMR sheets. The union has sought help from the teachers’ union of colleges and universities of the state to garner support in the boycott. The examinations are held in November-December.
In the session 2024-25, it has been asked to conduct all the undergraduate course examinations of odd semesters on OMR sheets. President of Teachers Association Prof. Harish Sharma said that no such decision has been passed in the examination committee, but in the examination committee meeting held on 15th July and 24th September, it was unanimously decided to conduct the odd semester examinations in writing.
In the emergency meeting of the examination committee held on October 1, the chairman of the committee, Vice Chancellor, member Prof. Krishna Aggarwal, Prof. Anjana Kumari, Prof. Kamal Singh, Prof. Geetika Singh, Prof. Subhash, Prof. Ranveer Singh General Secretary Ramputa, Prof. Harish Kumar Sharma President Ramputa was present. While the decision was unanimously passed that the odd semester examinations would be in writing, but an order was issued from the university to conduct the examination on OMR sheets. The union has also decided to boycott all the works of the university until its demands are met.
