In Sabzi area of North Delhi, some boys stabbed an 11-year-old’s father to death in front of his father. The deceased has been identified as Vijay (40). At the time of the incident, Vijay was sitting with his son at the shop in front of the house. During this, the boys in the car attacked him. As soon as information about the murder was received, senior police officers of the district reached the spot. After initial investigation, police have come to know that the accused killed Vijay to take revenge of an old feud. Police took three accused into custody in the case late in the evening. The search for the remaining accused is ongoing.
Actually, one of the accused used to roam around Vijay’s house with his girlfriend. When the accused protested, they had a fight with Vijay in March 2024. Vijay’s hand and leg were fractured in the fight between the two sides. The police had registered a cross case after taking complaints from both sides. At that time, a case was registered under sections like rape, POCSO and attempt to murder. Vijay was continuously injured after the incident. He started coming to the shop only three days ago. The police is trying to find out what is the real reason for the murder. Investigation is also being done through CCTV cameras installed nearby.
According to the police, Vijay lived with his family in a rented house in Punjabi Basti, Roshanara Road. Apart from his wife Madhu, he has five daughters and an 11-year-old son in his family. Vijay has a scrap shop in front of the house. He was present at the shop on Sunday. Meanwhile suddenly the boys in the car attacked them. In injured condition, he was taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Vijay’s family members allege that the accused were continuously threatening to kill them. The police did not take the matter seriously. As soon as they got the opportunity, the accused committed the crime. The family members are accusing the police of negligence.
