According to the report of news.com.au, this incident occurred in September 2023, when Donna Butterfield underwent two surgeries at a private clinic in Palma, Majorca. A few years before this, she had also undergone a surgery to increase the size of her breast, but due to some problems, she had to undergo the surgery again, which cost $11,650 (Rs 9,71,416).
Heart attack due to reaction to anesthesia
The report claims that beautician Donna Butterfield already had heart problems and she suffered a heart attack due to the reaction to anesthesia. After this he was admitted to the hospital of Son Espaces University in Palma, where he died on 14 September 2023.
Donna Butterfield’s family had claimed that precautions were not taken where she underwent the surgery. The police also investigated the matter after the British model’s family accused the cosmetic surgeons.
Clinic manager arrested
The manager and anesthetist of the clinic have been arrested in this regard. The 69-year-old manager of the clinic was booked for murder as well as negligence in surgery. The police investigation found that the second cosmetic surgery procedure was started without warning the patient about the risks.
According to the police report, beautician Donna Butterfield suffered serious head injuries during the cardiac arrest, from which she could not recover. Butterfield died less than two weeks later. This came to light when the director of the clinic was arrested by the Spanish National Police in Majorca.
