The scorching heat continues in Badaun. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature reached close to 48.25 degrees Celsius. At 8 in the morning itself, the heat was like noon due to the strong sunshine. Those who had no option left the house fully prepared, covering their hands and face. The temperature is expected to cross 48 degrees Celsius on Wednesday as well. There is no possibility of relief from the heat for the next seven days.

Due to the scorching heat, all the major markets of the city, which are usually bustling with customers, remained deserted. On Tuesday, the busiest areas like Bada Bazar, Sarafa Bazar, Ghanta Ghar, Nagar Palika Bazar, Chuna Mandi etc. were not crowded due to the heat. There was also silence at Parshuram Chowk, Kotwali Road, Bhamashah Chowk, Maharana Pratap Chowk.

There are no relief arrangements at roadways bus stand and railway station

The crowd of passengers was seen on Tuesday afternoon at the roadways and railway station, but there were no arrangements to protect the passengers from the heat. People were forced to drink cold water from the cart near the roadways post. The taps of the cold water drinking fountain were dry here. At the railway station too, the arrangements to protect from the heat were inadequate. People took shelter by sitting in shops here and there.
