Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the general budget for the financial year 2024-25. In this budget, big announcements have been made for farmers and youth. Bihar did not get the status of a special state but the central government has given many gifts to Bihar. The Finance Minister has announced in Parliament to give Rs 26 thousand crore for road-connectivity projects of Bihar. This will lead to the development of Patna-Purnia Expressway, Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway. Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga road connectivity projects will also be developed.

New airports and medical colleges will be constructed in Bihar

The Finance Minister said that it will also help in building an additional two-lane bridge over the Ganga River at Buxar. Power projects will be started in Bihar at a cost of Rs 21,400 crore. This includes the establishment of a new 2400 MW plant in Pirpainti. New airports, medical colleges and sports infrastructure will also be built in Bihar. Additional allocation will be made available to help in capital investments. The Bihar government’s request for external assistance from multilateral development banks will be processed expeditiously.

Corridors will be built in this temple of Gaya and Bodh Gaya

Corridors will be built in Vishnupad temple of Gaya and Mahabodhi temple of Bodhgaya. Corridors of these two temples will be developed under the corridor built for Kashi Vishwanath temple. Rajgir is also important for Buddhist and Jain devotees. Pilgrimage areas of Rajgir will also be developed. Development will also take place in Nalanda to strengthen it as a tourist center.

11500 crores to Bihar for flood prevention

Bihar has been facing the tragedy of floods for many years. Lakhs of people are troubled by floods. The central government will start projects worth Rs 11,500 crore on flood control. This will work on barrages, the problem of river silt, flood prevention measures on Kosi river, and embankments. So that people do not have to suffer the brunt of floods.
