Hariyali Teej is celebrated on the third date of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. This fast is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Parvati. It is believed that Goddess Parvati had performed severe penance to get Lord Shankar and being pleased with the penance of the Goddess, Lord Shiva accepted Mother Parvati as his wife on the day of Hariyali Teej.
