It was formed millions or billions of years ago, when lava flowed on the moon. Due to which a tunnel was formed between the rocks. Professor Carrer said that the closest to it on earth would be the volcanic caves of Lanzarote in Spain.
Scientists say that the cave is very big. According to scientists, this could be the best place for humans to live. After all, life on earth also started from caves. That is why we think that humans can live inside these caves on the moon too. However, we are yet to go inside it.
