This led the researchers to discover that terpenoids VOCs were the biggest source of pollution. At the same time, this effect was most visible in the vegetated parts of the city and on the hottest days.
However, in the research, the researchers have not yet found out which trees are causing the highest emission of terpenoids. Researchers have definitely found that amid high temperatures, human-related VOCs are also increasing pollution, which include chemicals like gasoline to products like deodorant.
