Canada Conservative party leader Pierre Poilievre supported Hindus reprimanded PM Justin Trudeau amid khalistani slogans

Canada: Religious harmony in Canada is in danger, which is confirmed by some recent incidents. Recently, Khalistani supporters gathered in Canada and raised slogans like ‘Hindus of Canada go back’. Khalistani supporters had gathered at the site of the annual India Day Parade.

This event was organized by the separatist group Sikh for Justice (SFJ) on August 18, 2024 at the site of the annual India Day Parade. A few days before this incident, some posters were seen in Canada in which Khalistanis and Canadian Hindus were shown against each other.

The Hindu community, which has been targeted by Khalistanis in Canada, has got the support of the opposition leader and Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. Pierre Poilievre objected to the slogans raised against Hindus and strongly condemned the act of Khalistani supporters. Pierre Poilievre said, ‘Such activity against any religion and sect will not be tolerated at all in Canada.’

What did Pierre Poilievre say?

We all have lived together in this country but now everyone is fighting against each other filled with hatred. There is a need to bring everyone together through people’s faith, freedom of families and patriotism.’
