When she was asked why she carried such a bag, she replied – both personal and political. ‘Personal and political’ is a famous feminist slogan. When the watermelon is cut, its color is red, green, black and white. This symbolizes the color of the flag of Palestine.
Talking to Indian Express, Kani said- ‘Many of my friends are from Palestine. And the conflict has been going on there for a long time, so it was important for me to show support.’
