The subordinates may not have had any feelings for the seriously injured woman, but the sensitivity of the Superintendent of Police came to the fore. Roli, a resident of Jagdishpur of Lonar Kotwali area, was going from Hardoi to Jagdishpur on bike with her son Anoop on 27 October. At 8.30 in the night, he was hit by a bike coming from behind near Mujahidpur turn on Sawayajpur road. A case was also registered in Lonar police station on the complaint of Roli who was seriously injured in the incident. On Monday, Roli’s family took him to the SP office in a private vehicle. As per rules, private vehicles were not allowed into the office premises. The family members laid the injured Roli in a sheet and took him to the SP office, holding him by the corners from all sides.
After this, he brought it back from there in a sheet only. During this time, the video of Roli groaning in pain went viral on social media. Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun took cognizance of the video and expressed condolences. He released a video and apologized to the injured woman for the entire incident. In the video, the SP said that whatever happened is unfortunate. Being the Superintendent of Police of the district, he apologized for this. He also showed a big heart by apologizing on different social media platforms.
