After 10 years, on 16 December 2023, CBI had filed a charge sheet in Arrah Civil Court in the famous Brahmeshwar Mukhiya murder case of Bihar. CBI has made 8 people including Hulas Pandey accused in this murder case. After Hulas Pandey was made a named accused, there was a lot of excitement in the political circles. But, now the special court of Arrah MP MLA has rejected the CBI charge sheet in this case. With this decision of the court, former MLC Hulas Pandey and other accused in the Barmeshwar Mukhiya murder case have got a big relief from the court. During the hearing on the petition filed by murder case accused Ritesh Singh alias Monu Singh, the court has rejected the charge sheet of CBI.
CBI’s research considered wrong
According to the information, the court has considered it wrong for the CBI to conduct investigation without the court’s order after the trial has started in the case. While this decision of the court has brought relief to former MLC Hulas Pandey and other accused, the CBI has suffered a major setback. Now this case will be heard on April 30 on the basis of the already ongoing trial. This information was given by APP Siyaram Singh.
Brahmeshwar Mukhiya was murdered in 2012
It is known that on June 1, 2012, Brahmeshwar Mukhiya was shot dead at a short distance from his residence in Katira Mohalla of Nawada police station area of Arrah. After this massacre, there was a lot of anger among Mukhiya’s supporters and the supporters participating in his funeral procession from Arrah to Patna resorted to violence and arson at many places in a spirit of revenge. The then government had handed over this case to CBI for an impartial investigation in 2013, one year after this much-discussed murder case.
CBI had released a poster and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh.
All the bullets fired at Brahmeshwar Mukhiya were fired from country made pistols. The FIR related to his murder was lodged at Nawada police station in Arrah. In the FIR, a case was registered against unknown people under criminal conspiracy and other serious sections. CBI had issued a poster and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for providing clues and information related to the Brahmeshwar Mukhiya murder case.
