In Bihar, Minister Alok Mehta, who is handling the responsibility of Revenue and Land Reforms and Sugarcane Industry Minister from Rashtriya Janata Dal quota, was abused with casteist words. Threatened to kill. Called repeatedly after disconnecting the call. When that number was blocked, calls started coming from another number. Minister Alok Mehta has written an application for security arrangements along with an FIR on this incident at the Secretariat police station located right in front of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Alok Mehta usually does not remain in controversies, but in Bhagalpur last days came into limelight by saying that 10% people have been exploiting 90% of the population for centuries. In this statement, he referred to the ‘Brahmanist’ thinking. This application, written on January 23, did not reach the Secretariat police station till 10.15 am on January 24, although Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he had received the information and asked the top officials to conduct an immediate inquiry.

The minister was troubled by whose call

According to the application written by Minister Alok Mehta to the Secretariat police station, on January 23 at 3:14 pm, a caller from his official mobile number 9140245089 abused him with casteist words and threatened to kill him. The minister’s mobile app showed the name of the caller as Deepak Pandey. When the minister disconnected this call, calls started coming again and again from the same number. When that number was blocked, the same person started calling from another number 9648076657. This time the name Pappu Tripathi was telling in the app. Minister Alok Mehta has given an application to the police for legal action against these two numbers for abusing his life with casteist words and threatening to kill him. Necessary protective vigilance and arrangements have also been requested in view of the threat in the application.

Security will increase due to call on statement

Minister Alok Mehta’s statement regarding Brahminism in Bhagalpur, the next day he clarified in Muzaffarpur that he was repeating the words of late Jagdev Prasad. However, his clarification went in vain on Monday when Mehta was vilified without naming Mehta from the forum of Maharana Pratap Shaurya Diwas organized by state vice-president of the ruling Janata Dal United, Sanjay Singh. It was said that the population of 10% people was reduced to 10% because 90% people were resting at home and 10% were sometimes facing the attack of Mughals on their chest and sometimes were facing the bullets of the British. Mehta’s statement has angered the upper castes and the police department is considering increasing his security after the information about the threat call reached the chief minister on Monday.
