IIM Calcutta To Conduct CAT 2024: This time the Common Admission Test 2024 will be organized by IIM Calcutta. Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has issued a notice. What are the changes this year?
Talking about the changes made in this year’s CAT exam, two changes have been made this year. The first change is in the fees. Earlier the application fee for general category candidates was Rs 2400 which has now been increased to Rs 2500. Whereas the fee for the reserved category was Rs 1200 which has now been increased to Rs 1250.
Will be able to choose fewer cities
Talking about the second change, this time CAT exam will be conducted in more cities. Last year the exam was conducted in 167 cities but this year three more cities have been added to the list. This time the exam will be conducted in 170 cities. The third important news related to this is that while earlier candidates could choose up to 6 cities to take the exam, this year they will be able to choose only 5 cities. Candidates will get five options to choose cities and not six.

What is the eligibility to apply
To apply for CAT 2024 exam, it is necessary that the candidate has a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent marks from a recognized university. The eligibility for reserved and PH category is 45 percent marks. Where CGPA is used, CGPA will be calculated accordingly.

Along with this, PGDM i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Management degree can also be obtained. CAT score is valid for both the courses. Apart from 21 IIMs, 1000 other institutes also accept CAT score.
