The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in the excise duty policy case at Rouse Avenue Court, Delhi.

On July 25, Rouse Avenue Court had extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Kejriwal in the CBI case related to Delhi liquor scam. The hearing in this case is scheduled on August 8. Kejriwal appeared through video conferencing from Tihar Jail. CBI had arrested Arvind Kejriwal from Tihar Jail itself.

Apart from CM Kejriwal, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and BRS leader K Kavitha also appeared in the court through video conferencing. Rouse Avenue Court had extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till July 31 and K Kavitha till July 31.

Earlier on July 12, the court had on Friday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till July 25 in the corruption case related to the excise policy, which is being investigated by the CBI.

Kejriwal was produced before Special Judge Kaveri Baveja through video conferencing after the expiry of his judicial custody period in connection with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases.
