CBI gets three days remand of Arvind Kejriwal Delhi Liquor Policy case


Delhi Liquor Policy Case: The troubles of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the CBI in the Delhi liquor policy case, have increased. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday (26 June) sent Arvind Kejriwal on 3-day CBI remand.

The CBI will have to present Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal in court again before 7 pm on June 29. The CBI had sought five days of custody of Arvind Kejriwal in the Rouse Avenue Court. The court has sent him on three-day remand.

During remand, Kejriwal will be able to meet his wife Sunita and lawyer for 30 minutes each

The court has also given instructions to allow Arvind Kejriwal to meet his wife Sunita Kejriwal for 30 minutes every day during the remand. Along with this, the AAP leader has also been given time to meet his lawyer for 30 minutes every day. During the remand, the court has also given instructions to provide Kejriwal with his medicines and home-cooked food.

Kejriwal’s health deteriorated during the hearing

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s health deteriorated during the court hearing on Wednesday. After this, it was revealed that Kejriwal’s sugar level had gone down. After this, he was made to sit in another room. He was also given tea and biscuits to eat. During this time, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal was also present in the court room with him.

Earlier, Sunita Kejriwal reacted to the arrest of her husband Arvind Kejriwal by the CBI. She posted on Instagram and said, “Arvind Kejriwal got bail on June 20. Immediately ED got a stay. The very next day CBI made him an accused and today he was arrested. The entire system is trying to ensure that the man does not come out of jail. This is not law. This is dictatorship, emergency.”

What did the CBI say about the arrest?

Regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, the CBI said that if the Delhi CM had been arrested at the time of interim bail granted by the Supreme Court, it would have sent a wrong message about the order of the Hon’ble Court. The CBI said that due to this, Kejriwal was not arrested at that time.
