CBSE has recently issued notices to a total of 27 schools in Delhi and Rajasthan. These schools are accused of violating rules and dummy admissions, due to which they have been sent this notice. If your child’s school is also included in these, then this news may be important for you.
Reason for issuing the notice
According to CBSE, dummy admissions were being given in these schools and the rules of the board were being seriously ignored. CBSE officials said that the number of students for class 11th and 12th in these schools was shown to be high, while the actual number was much less than this. Apart from this, other guidelines related to enrollment and attendance were also not being followed in the schools. CBSE conducted a surprise inspection of these schools regarding these shortcomings and found many irregularities.

Action taken on schools of which places
CBSE’s notice includes 22 schools from Delhi region and 5 schools from Ajmer region. All these schools have now been issued show cause notices, in which they will have to answer the questions raised by CBSE. If CBSE is not satisfied with these answers, further action can be taken.

Strict action by CBSE
CBSE has already taken strict action in cases of showing fake number of students and recognition of more than 20 schools has been cancelled. Now it remains to be seen what action CBSE takes in these new cases and what answers are received from the schools.
In June, CBSE secretary Himanshu Gupta had said that the board will continue its action against dummy schools. He informed that in March, CBSE found about 20 affiliated schools involved in various malpractices. These included three schools from Uttar Pradesh. These schools have been accused of showing dummy students, admitting ineligible candidates and not maintaining records properly.
