Central Government Approve 3 New National Level Cooperative Societies To Increase Farmers Income


Farmers Cooperative Society: The cooperative sector of the country is directly related to rural areas and farmers, agricultural production and farmers’ income. In order to provide more benefits to the farmers from this area, the Central Government has approved 3 cooperative organizations. Let us inform that the government had formed the Co-operative Act in the year 1982 and TRIFED in the year 1987. In this way, after a long wait of 35 years, now National Co-operative Export Society, National Level Co-operative Society for Organic Products, National Multi State Seed Co-operative Society will be established.

With the aim of increasing the prosperity and income of the farmers through cooperation, the Modi government has approved the formation of these 3 institutions. Addressing the press conference after this decision of the Union Cabinet, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that with the full cooperation of the Union Ministry and the Government, there is a plan to export the produce of farmers according to international standards. Along with this, the Union Cabinet has also approved it to promote marketing and export of the produce.

There are 8 lakh 50 thousand registered cooperative unions in the country, in which there are about 29 crore members. Most of these members are from rural areas and are farmers only. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that there is a lot of potential for organic production in the country, to increase it and take it to the international level, the National Level Co-operative Society for Organic Products will provide all the facilities to the farmers near the production area. , which includes testing, certification and technical support of organic products at affordable rates.

This will also help farmers to get proper marketing and fair price for their organic products. On the other hand, production and sale of seeds to the farmers, availability of seed bank will be ensured by the National Multi State Seed Co-operative Society.

Help from National Co-operative Export Limited as well
Trading, procurement, storage, processing, marketing, branding, labelling, packaging, certification, as well as technical guidance will be given according to the needs of the farmers through a new institutional society named National Co-operative Export Limited. Through this organization, the export promotion scheme of the government will also be linked to the cooperative.

Farmers will join online payment
In the recent meeting of the Central Cabinet Committee, Rupay Debit Card and BHIM UPI Incentive Scheme have also been approved. Through this scheme, it will now be possible to take digital payments to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME Sector), unorganized sector as well as farmers and laborers. The Central Government has sanctioned 2,600 crores for this scheme also.
