CERT-in issued Severe Warning: If you are an iPhone user then you need to be careful. Actually, the central government has alerted the IT cell regarding cyber crime. Along with this, a warning has been issued for iPhones, iPads and all Apple users.
Apple users have been alerted to be cautious or else important information and data may get leaked through spam calls, messages or phone spoofing.
Alert issued by the central government
The Central Government’s security advisor, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), has issued an advisory regarding this and has considered it a serious situation. According to CERT’s advisory, many flaws have been found in Apple products due to which attackers can access sensitive information.
CERT says that hackers can leak important information present in the phone. Along with this, bypassing security barriers, denying service and spoofing attacks on the system can also be allowed.
Which software users are facing problems?
The Apple software series in which vulnerabilities have been found include iOS and iPadOS series before 17.6 and 16.7.9, macOS series before 14.6, macOS Ventura series before 13.6.8. Apart from this, macOS Monterey series before 12.7.6, watchOS series 10.6 before 12.7.6, tvOS series before 17.6 and other series are included.
Earlier, Apple had shared its latest security updates last week. And the latest version was uploaded on the official portal, which all users can read. Now CERT-In has asked all users to apply the necessary software updates uploaded by Apple.
