Chaat has been feeding people for 20 years, started selling samosas from Rs 1.50, now for Rs 20

People are so crazy about their taste that they line up and lick them. Kaka Chaat Bhandar has been making samosas, kachoris and dumplings for 20 years, as well as curds. The taste of which is as special even today as it was in the initial phase 20 years ago.

Once used to break stones, now serving people with love

Omprakash Kumawat, popularly known as Kaka Chaat Wale, told that he used to work as a laborer before setting up this chaat stall. Then he used to set up a fruit cart, used to go to break stones in the mountains, but still his house was not able to survive. Then one day he set up a chaat stall.

At that time neither did he know how to prepare spices for making dumplings, nor did he know how to make kachoris and samosas. But he tried to learn continuously. After that, by his own practice, he became so perfect that the taste of dumplings, kachoris and samosas made by him automatically attracted people towards him.

Samosa started selling from Rs 1.50

Omprakash said that he started selling samosas for Rs.1.50, where today he gives unstitched samosas for ₹15 and ₹20 for people to eat. He started selling dumplings for ₹ 50 a kg. Where today, in this era of inflation, only pav dumplings of Rs.50 are being sold.

He told that the most special thing about their chaat is that people get it fresh and fresh to eat. He prepares each and every spice used in it with his own hands. Today his whole family is engaged in this work. Where these people save by spending ₹ 1500 a day.
