On the Navami of Chaitra Navratri, there was a crowd of devotees in various temples of the city. After worshiping at homes, devotees worshiped in temples and prayed for the good health of their family members. Along with this, girls were married by offering offerings to the Queen and took blessings from her also.
The doors of most of the temples in the city opened at four in the morning. Devotees started coming to the temples since morning. Havan, Yagya and Bhandara were performed in the temple. Devotees worshiped Navami. Thousands of devotees reached Kali Mata temple to have darshan of Mata. Devotees worshiped and made wishes in the temple.
Children enjoyed a lot in the fair organized outside the temple. Apart from food shops, there are various types of swings and toy shops. Havan-puja was performed in the morning at Manokamna Shri Hanuman Temple and in the evening the entire atmosphere became devotional with women’s sankirtan.
A large number of devotees also reached the Mata Mandir line crossing. Apart from this, there was a crowd of devotees in Durga Temple, Shiv Hari Temple, Ancient Shiv Temple Jhanjhanpur, Radha-Krishna Temple Civil Lines, Hulka Devi Temple etc. At the same time, people also married girls in their homes after worship. He was given prasad of halwa, gram and puri. Later gifts were also given.
