Nainital, In Uttarakhand’s Nainital, a procession was taking place with pomp and show. Baratis were dancing fiercely on the streets. The baraatis were waiting at the wedding venue. Before the procession could reach the venue, the police reached the procession. The police cut the challan of the band members and the boys, after which all the baraatis reached the wedding venue peacefully.
According to the information received, a procession was coming from Dharamshala towards Citizen Hotel in Tallital of Nainital at around 11 pm on Wednesday night. The baratis were dancing and dancing a lot to the tune of the band. After a certain time in the night, the local people were disturbed due to the loud sound of the DJ, so they called and complained and called the police.
On getting the information, the police reached the spot and got the band stopped. SO Rohitash Singh Sagar of Nainital Police told News18 Local that as per the order of the High Court, loud singing is prohibited after 10 pm. An challan of Rs 5,000 has been deducted from Band Swami Rais Ahmed, a resident of Bahedi, and Rs 10,000 from Rohit Chaudhary, a resident of Dhobighat Tallital, the head of the procession, for violating the rules.
Nainital police keeps an eye on hotel-restaurants, marriage-marriage functions, etc. after 10 pm. Challan action is taken against people who play loud music. There is a complete ban on playing DJ in weddings in the city after 10 pm. But, if someone is found violating the rules then action is taken against him.
