The incident of stone throwing at a goods train on the Mathura-Kasganj railway section at around 7.15 am on 26 February created panic in the Railways. On the information of the train driver, the Railway Administration sent the Railway Protection Force to the spot, but it turned out to be the case of children throwing stones.
The goods train left for Sikandrarau at around seven in the morning. As soon as the goods train crossed Rati Ka Nagla station, the driver saw more than 200 people sitting on the railway track. Taking caution, the driver stopped the train. On behalf of the driver, while registering the information on mobile to the Sikanderau station master, he said that there is a crowd of about 200 people sitting on the line near the shrine of 276/05-06.
When the vehicle stopped and started moving, these people started throwing stones at the brakes. This information was registered to the Controller, RPF Hathras City and Traffic Inspector Mathura Cantonment. Immediately the entire team of RPF Hathras City reached the spot. Here the RPF team investigated, which revealed that there was Shab-e-Baraat here. During this time some child had thrown a stone. Only then did the Railway and Civil Police officials heave a sigh of relief.
