The accused in the Satsang accident appeared in the court of Hathras Sessions Judge Satendra Kumar on November 4. The court has fixed November 14 for the next hearing in this case. The Sessions Court can frame charges against the accused on the next date.

It is noteworthy that on July 2, 121 people were killed in a stampede during the satsang of Surajpal alias Narayan Sakar Hari in Phulrai Mugalgarhi village of Sikandrarau tehsil. About 250 people were injured. The police have filed a 3200-page charge sheet in the court against 11 accused in this case. Police have produced 676 witnesses in this case.

Apart from the main accused Devprakash Mudhkar, the police have named Megh Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Manju Devi, Manju Yadav, Ram Ladete, Upendra Singh, Sanju Kumar, Ramprakash Shakya, Durvesh Kumar and Dalveer Singh as accused in the charge sheet. On November 4, 10 accused appeared in the court of Sessions Judge Satendra Kumar. District Government Advocate Mukesh Kumar Chaudhary said that the next date for hearing in this case in the Sessions Court is November 14.

Attendance waiver application filed by an accused

Manju Devi, an accused in the accident, could not appear in the court of Sessions Judge Satendra Kumar due to health reasons. Her advocate Pramod Kumar Sharma said that Manju Devi’s appearance waiver application was filed in the court, which was accepted by the court. The next date to frame charges in this case in the court is November 14.
