Chhath Puja 2024: Chhath Puja, the great festival dedicated to Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya, has started on Tuesday with Nahay Khay. The four-day festival will also be celebrated in Bareilly. Special preparations have been made in this regard.

The great festival of folk faith Chhath started from Tuesday with Nahay Khay. Many women will perform Chhath Puja in Bareilly also. Special arrangements have been made in temples regarding this. Places of worship have been decorated with flowers and colorful lights. Along with painting, the lake has been filled with clean water.

All the arrangements have been made well by the temple management committees to ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience during the puja. Special attention has been paid to the cleanliness of the temple premises, so that the fasting women do not face any problem in offering Arghya to the Sun.

In temples, the place of worship is being decorated with traditional soup, porridge and fruits made of bamboo. Kharna is to be held on Wednesday 6th November. After this, on Thursday, November 7, women fasting will offer Arghya to the setting sun. The fast will end with offering Arghya to the rising Sun on Friday, November 8.
