Four people drowned while bathing in Ganga and pond during Chhath festival in different blocks of Munger on Friday, in which 18-year-old youth Shashi Kumar, who was drowning in Maniarchak Ganga Ghat of Sadar block, was saved by NDRF’s disaster friend Ramvilas Kumar Yadav. Went. Shashi told that he had gone to Ganga Ghat to offer morning prayers. He started drowning because he went into deep water while bathing. I was rescued by SDRF team.
At the same time, the second incident took place in Belharni river of Dhol hill of Chor village panchayat of Asarganj block. Where a nine-year-old girl, who was taking bath while serving Ardha in the morning, drowned. After much effort, the dead body of the girl who had drowned in the river was pulled out by the villagers after three hours. It is said that the deceased girl was Shilpi Kumari, nine year old daughter of Jeevo Mandal, resident of Dulalpur village of Kharagpur police station area. Shilpi had come to Nana’s house in Dhol Pahari village of Chor village of Asarganj block to celebrate Chhath festival with her mother, brother and sister.
Third incident: Two youths were bathing together at Punjabi Ganga Ghat at Herudiara Kali Sthan in Jamalpur block. Then two youths started drowning as both of them went into deep water. At the same time, with the help of local villagers, one youth was taken out, while another youth drowned. After the incident, a crowd of local villagers gathered at Ganga Ghat. The local villagers informed the police and zonal officer Jamalpur. After getting information about the incident, Circle Officer and Safiasarai police station in-charge, SDRF team arrived. The search for the young man who drowned in Ganga is going on continuously. The youth has been identified as Abhishek Kumar, 20-year-old son of Sanjay Yadav, resident of Hasanganj, Kasim Bazar police station area.
Fourth incident: A 12-year-old boy, who had gone to offer morning prayers in Tatua pond in Dev village of Tarapur block, has drowned. SDRF arrived on the information of villagers and the search for the child drowned in the puddle is going on by divers. The drowned child has been identified as Sunny Kumar, 12-year-old son of Gulshan Singh, resident of Devgaon.
At the same time, District Disaster Department official Abhishek Kumar said that this morning four people drowned in different blocks of the district, out of which the body of one has been recovered. One has been saved with the help of SDRF. At the same time, the search for two people is going on.
