There will be a holiday in the capital Delhi on November 7 on account of Chhath festival. Notification regarding holidays will soon be issued by the Delhi government. CM Atishi said that grand events will be organized on Chhath festival. CM Atishi has given the green signal to LG’s proposal. Earlier, LG VK Saxena had written a letter to CM Atishi demanding holiday on the day of Chhath.

Earlier, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena had written a letter to Chief Minister Atishi requesting him to declare November 7 as a public holiday in Delhi, on this Chief Minister Atishi informed by tweeting that I am happy to inform that the Delhi Government has taken the decision. That there will be a holiday for the festival of Chhath on November 7, so that all the Purvanchali brothers and sisters can celebrate the festival of Chhath with pomp and show.
The Lieutenant Governor had written in the letter, we will be celebrating Chhath in a few days. This great festival of faith is celebrated for four days, in which the third day is the most important when Arghya is offered to the setting Sun God. This day, falling on November 7 this year, has been declared as a pre-committed holiday. I request that the government declare November 7 as a full-time holiday and the file related to it should be sent as soon as possible.
