Alcohol: Nowadays drinking alcohol has become a trend. Some people consume alcohol occasionally as a hobby, but within limits. At the same time, some people drink too much. Scientists of Texas Southwestern University have done research on this injection. He told that fibroblast growth factor 21 i.e. FGF21 is made in the body of humans and animals. This helps in reducing the effect of alcohol by up to 50 percent. Thus it acts as a safeguard.

Scientists say, FGF21 works to prevent the negative effects of alcohol. In this research done on rats, it was revealed that if a person is given a high dose through injection, it takes only half the time for the hormones to eliminate the effect of intoxication. When the balance of alcohol starts deteriorating in the body, then the body starts working properly. In this research, scientists first gave alcohol to rats, after 1 hour when they were given FGF21 injection, they remained intoxicated for half the time and the rats who were not given this injection remained intoxicated for a long time. It affected both males and females.
How does injection work?
In the research report, scientists told that FGF21 leaves its direct effect on the neurons of the nervous system of the brain which work to keep the human alert. According to a report published in the journal Cell Metabolism, the number of deaths due to alcohol has increased worldwide during the epidemic.
