Flu and infection will end with H9N2 strain

According to media reports, Hester Biosciences Limited is working on developing a low pathogenic avian influenza (H9N2 strain) inactivated vaccine to protect chickens from flu and infection. The institute has entered into an agreement with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and the National Institute of High Security Veterinary Diseases to commercially produce the vaccine and take indigenously developed technology.

Immune system will increase for 6 months

According to media reports, the government organization Agrinovate says that the vaccine being made has passed tests related to infertility, safety and effectiveness in the lab. The special thing about this vaccine will be that it will increase the immune system of chickens for 6 months. During this time any kind of infection and flu will not be able to attack the chickens.

Vaccine will be in the market by the end of 2023

Work on making the vaccine is going on fast. Also, whatever are the necessary conditions to bring the vaccine in the market. All are being fulfilled. Vaccine manufacturers say that Hester will launch the vaccine in the market by the end of 2023. People will be able to shop easily.

Agreement signed on 27 December

The meeting was held on 27 December in the presence of Himanshu Pathak, Director General (DG), ICAR, Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinovate India, Aniket Sanyal, Director, NIHSAD, and Rajiv Gandhi, CEO & MD, Hester. The agreement was signed in the meeting itself. Hester’s planning is to sell this vaccine not only in India but in Upafrici and other Asian countries.
