Chief Minister’s Ladli Behna Scheme: The Government of India runs many schemes for the citizens of its country. These schemes are brought according to the needs of different people. Similarly, state governments also bring many schemes for the citizens of their state. In Madhya Pradesh, in the year 2023, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan started the Chief Minister Ladli Bahana Yojana keeping in mind the interests of women.
Under this scheme, a fixed amount is given to women every month. Under DBT i.e. Direct Benefit Transfer, this amount is sent directly to their account. At present, 13 installments of this scheme have been sent. Today i.e. on July 5, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the next installment of the scheme. Let’s know what is Ladli Behna Yojana and how much benefit is available in it.
What is Ladli Behna Yojana?
On 28 January 2023, the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan started the Ladli Bahana Yojana in the state, promoting women empowerment. Under this scheme, women were given Rs 1000 every month by the state government. But the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan increased it by Rs 250 on the day of Rakshabandhan. Due to which now women taking benefit in this scheme are given Rs 1250 per month.
According to the data, about 4 lakh 77 thousand women get the benefit of Ladli Behna Yojana. 13 installments of the scheme have been released. Today i.e. on July 5, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the 14th installment of this scheme. Earlier, the installment amount was transferred to the account on the 10th of every month. But now CM Mohan Yadav has announced that the amount will be sent on the 5th of the month itself.
Who gets benefits under the scheme?
Only women of Madhya Pradesh get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana run by the Madhya Pradesh government. Only those women can apply under the Ladli scheme. Whose family’s annual income is less than Rs 2.50 lakh. Along with this, no member of the woman’s family should be an income tax payer. Women should not have more than 5 acres of agricultural land and no member of the family should be in a government job. Now unmarried women of 21 years or above will also get the benefit of this scheme from the government.
