Submarine Base in Bangladesh: The construction of the submarine base being built in Bangladesh with the help of China is almost complete. The recently released satellite picture of the submarine base is going to give tension to India. A dry dock is visible in the picture, where repair work of submarines is done. The length of the dry dock is 135 meters and width is about 30 meters.
This submarine base is being constructed in the name of BNS Sheikh Hasina in Pekua, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. This base is spread over 1.75 square kilometers. According to media reports, the construction of this base started in the year 2020 and it was inaugurated by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in March 2023. A large number of Chinese officials participated in the inauguration program.
After the submarine base is built in Bangladesh, it is expected that China will soon gain logistics access to it. Experts are seeing this as submarine diplomacy, because China has also given two submarines to Bangladesh. It is expected that now Chinese submarines will be brought to Bangladesh base for repair and upgradation.

Six submarines and today fighter ships can be stationed simultaneously at the BNS Sheikh Hasina base, built at a cost of 1.21 billion dollars. This base is being constructed by a Chinese company and China has also invested the money. In such a situation, speculations are being made that China will also use this base. In this way, China will now get a submarine base close to India, which is going to increase India’s concern.
The Bay of Bengal will become unsafe for India due to the docking of Chinese ships and submarines in Bangladesh. China can monitor the Indian weapons deployed here. A short distance away from Bangladesh’s Sheikh Hasina base is the base of India’s nuclear submarines, which China can spy on.
