China Foreign Minister: China has changed its foreign minister in the midst of worldwide outrage over Corona. Chin Gang, who was China’s ambassador to the US, has been appointed as the new foreign minister in place of Wang Yi, who was still heading the foreign ministry in the Xi Jinping government. Chin Gang has also been the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Chin Gang is currently serving as the Chinese Ambassador to the US.

The Political Bureau, the top policy body of the Chinese Communist Party, has approved Chin’s promotion. It is not yet clear whether 56-year-old Chin will take up the post immediately. Meanwhile, Wang, 69, has been promoted to the high-powered Political Bureau of the CPC, making him the country’s top diplomat.

His appointment will mark the beginning of a new chapter in China’s diplomacy. Wang Yi has been the foreign minister in the Jinping government for the last 10 years. Now the Jinping government has reshuffled its cabinet. However, this information has not yet been revealed as to why Wang Yi has been removed from his post.
