Global Times on S Jaishankar: The Global Times of the Communist Party of China has targeted Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar in an article. Global Times, citing an alleged Chinese expert, alleged that Jaishankar is constantly seen attacking China because of hatred. In fact, only recently Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had exposed China, due to which China is very angry.

The Global Times article was widely opposed on social media. Due to the growing opposition, Global Times deleted the article from its website. In the deleted article, it was alleged that Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is afraid of the improvements happening in India-China relations. Chinese experts said that there are many shortcomings in S Jaishankar’s foreign policies.

Global Times wrote, ‘There are many Chinese experts like Jaishankar in India who believe that they have the monopoly to speak on the India-China issue, but the reality is that they do not have any understanding about China.

Former Indian Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi were also mentioned in the Global Times article. The Chinese expert claimed, ‘India’s current Foreign Minister S Jaishankar does not have the ethics of Nehru’s diplomacy nor does he have the morality of Indira Gandhi’s diplomacy. Jaishankar says that China’s telecom technology should be banned for security reasons, so is American technology safe from security points of view? People did not hear about the Huawei scandal but Edward Snowden had revealed the Prism scandal.’

‘Policies are not linked to national interest’

In the Global Times article, questions were also raised on the policies of Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. The Chinese expert claimed, ‘Many Indian politicians use the country for their personal benefit. There are many leaders who do not take long-term interests seriously. This problem of Indian diplomacy can be called the Jaishankar problem. Jaishankar’s policies are not linked to national interest.’

Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is seen exposing China’s bullying from forums across the world whenever he gets the chance. Recently, he had said that India too is facing a special China problem which is different from the general China problem of the world. Jaishankar had also demanded an investigation into the investments coming from China.
