Pakistan-China: China and Pakistan are not desisting from their activities. Now China and Pakistan have done some such acts which have given even America sleepless nights. According to the White House, Pakistan is developing such a state-of-the-art missile technology that it will be able to attack across South Asia including America. The White House has described Pakistan’s ballistic missile program as a threat to America. On the other hand, China is busy building the world’s longest tunnel by drilling the mountains. It will be opened by October 2025.
America keeps an eye on Pakistan’s actions
A White House official said, Pakistan is developing sophisticated missile technology which will enable it to attack across South Asia including America and in a way this ballistic missile program is a threat to America. This comment has come at a time when the US on Wednesday imposed sanctions on four Pakistani companies, including the government aerospace and defense agency ‘National Development Complex’, on charges of helping Pakistan in its ballistic missile program.
Deputy National Security Advisor John Finer said the Biden administration has taken several steps to stop the development of long-range missile systems. Last year, we imposed sanctions against non-Pakistani companies supporting Pakistan’s ballistic-missile programme. He said, yesterday we issued sanctions against the National Development Complex, a Pakistani state-owned company, which the United States believes is involved in the development and production of Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missiles. This is the first time that we have imposed sanctions on any government enterprise of Pakistan.
China is building the world’s longest motorway tunnel
China is building the world’s longest motorway tunnel. China is spending 3.7 billion dollars for this. This 20.9 kilometer long tunnel will pass through one of the longest mountain ranges in the world and will be opened for travel by October 2025. China started work on this project in 2016. It was to be completed by 2031. This will be the largest tunnel ever built by humans. China believes that better connectivity through this tunnel will improve transportation and promote regional economic and social development.
China increased its stockpile of weapons
Recently, there was a lot of disclosure in the report of the US Defense Ministry Pentagon regarding China. The Pentagon report revealed that by mid-2024, China has prepared more than 600 operational nuclear weapons. China is trying to increase them to 1000 by 2030. According to the report, China currently has weapons ranging from low-yield precision strike missiles to multi-megaton intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
