Information about Kovid review meeting was also given
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting related to Corona at his residence on Saturday. The Chief Minister said that in view of the new variant of Corona, it is expected to increase again. He said that even during the weakening of Corona, we never laxed. He has been continuously conducting corona tests and vaccinations in the state. 6.59 lakh tests have been done on a population of 10 lakhs in the whole country, while 8.20 lakh tests have been done in Bihar. Today, almost half of the tests done for corona in the whole country are being done in Bihar alone. Vaccination has also been done at a rapid pace in the state. So far 15 crore 71 lakh vaccinations have been done.
Instructions to keep oxygen plant functional
The Health Department in the state has been instructed to remain fully alert regarding Corona. Instructions have been given to speed up vaccination along with random screening of people coming from outside. It has been asked to keep adequate availability of oxygen along with medicines in hospitals, while instructions have also been given to keep the oxygen plant fully functional.
