Jammu Kashmir News: NC MP Agha Ruhullah Mehdi had recently staged a protest outside the CM residence. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has reacted to the protest by his own MP. He said that the Srinagar MP has used his democratic rights. The Chief Minister said, “The MP’s protest reached the CM’s residence. I met him. This shows that we are not afraid of the people or the protesters.”

Let us tell you that MP Aga Ruhullah had opened a front against the controversial reservation policy. On December 23, he expressed his displeasure by protesting outside the CM residence. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while addressing the media today (Thursday), said that a sub-committee of the cabinet has been formed on the issue of reservation.

The committee will start functioning within the next 6 months. Hearing has also started in the High Court. On Aga Ruhullah’s protest, the Chief Minister said, “Today the danger is that our jobs and our land are not for us. Then what will you do with reservation? What will you do when people from outside Jammu and Kashmir come to take jobs?”

When asked about the protest outside the CM residence, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “Only MPs can give the answer. Only MPs can tell why they did not go to Raj Bhavan to protest.”

On his relationship with MP Aga Ruhullah, the Chief Minister said, “It is not that we message each other every morning and night. But whenever we feel the need to talk to each other, we talk.” On the protest by his own party’s MP, he sarcastically said, “I hope that the MP will join with other parties and protest for statehood for Jammu and Kashmir in the budget session of the Parliament.” ”
